Another great time together with the people at Sunridge Community Church. If you did not catch the full recap and set list go here.
RECAP: This Sunday was a lot of fun a few newer tunes. “Glory to God Forever” seems to be a keeper to me and “Great Things” got our place moving today. We are in a three-part series about finances. You can see Greg preaching here on video. One malfunction that occurred due to me using my cheapest guitar strap and the fact that I was not used to it sliding like it did when I wanted to get people clapping along. It looked a bit weird and reminded me how important even the right guitar strap is! These songs, I have to admit, had a couple vocally challenging moments–Parachute Band’s “Come Before” just hangs on a break in my voice. I appreciate our band guys doing pretty good with backing vocals. The flow seemed to work well today and what you see in the video above is our second service. MANChurch Special Edition!! Worship Recap: What a cool Father’s day at Sunridge! Britt, the band, the tech, the videos, Harleys, 2,000 HP dragster in the parking lot and more! I am so excited about the message of hope to guys this morning. Let me know what you think of the video. We do not usually have a 4-camera shoot, so it looks great. One note: we have been influenced by young musicians and video editors and techs for this service in huge ways. From editing of some of our footage, to transcribing charts and playing in our band, it seems Sunridge is a place where the young are taking over! Kudos to our volunteer team leaders who mentor and welcome these talented young adults and teens. Worship Set List: Let Your Glory Shine – Lincoln Brewster Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) – Chris Tomlin You Never Let Go – Matt Redman Then we did some misc. music bits for fill in. A spoof called “Rogaine” was one of my faves.
