Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 24:17 (ESV)
A friend tweeted this verse to me. As we get to figuring out God’s next step for us as a family and me as worship leader/professional Christian the waiting part hits. Yes, the trials one faces sanctifies us. However, this verse really puts the human part into things with “let your heart take courage” as you wait for God to do His thing. It is good to hear the Psalmist write these words when I could not come up with them. Really, the heart is the part I am most concerned about. And, I think God is as well.
For prayer, we trust God to supply our practical needs but those are surely running on fumes. As you pray for our hearts and courage, please pray for the daily bread in agreement with us. And, pray that in all the waiting that our hearts would take courage!
God is GOOD…
