Recap: Over 1700 people came to our services this past Sunday for Easter. It is great to see our room packed twice, but more than that the celebration was electric–people moving, people crying people celebrating. As one pastor put it, Easter is the Superbowl for church! To make this weekend even more special, we had a brass group and chorus both of which added to the celebration.
This is my second Easter in Temecula, so I cannot compare past years except that our music director said to him it was the best ever. My hats off to those that rehearsed, built sets, set up lighting, and most of all who prayed for this past weekend. Many worthy hours were spent to produce this one service.
I have no word yet on the decisions for Christ, but the message was delivered by Greg very clearly about there being only one way to heaven–Jesus. Our new series hopes to answer some lies that commonly float about society and even the church. You will not want to miss it!
Set list: The music set included a new song by Eddie Kirkland and Steve Fee, “God is Alive.” It rocked as did the whole set. I am sure that song is gonna find its way in churches soon.
