Today at Sunridge Community Church we continued the series in Romans 1-5 (Bridge to God: How safe is yours?) with pastor Greg Sidders (Find the messages here). Greg was sure with it this week! You had better download if you have not heard it.
We put mics on to two of our band guys this morning, Chris and Mike. They sang backups on a couple songs. I love it when the band sings. This is especially true with a song like "You Are Good" written by Israel Houghton as performed by Lincoln Brewster. Whoa! Such fun. I guess I had fun, too. I dropped my guitar for this song and apparently my mic work reminded my pastor of Bo Bice (American Idol rocker dude).
Yeah, I played guitar…sort of. Well, it was not too bad until my tuner lost battery power at the wrong time, bringing the first chord to "Black and Blue is My Heart" to sound way more chorused than intended. I think I need a guitar tech or lessons…or both. We also made some wise course corrections, putting some songs at the very end.
Anyway, it was a fun weekend with a heavy subject matter. We trust that lives are changed by the truth we sang and talked about this past weekend.
Here are the songs:
- Hosanna (key G) – Paul Baloche
- Everlasting God (key Bb) – Brenton Brown (Lincoln Brewster version)
- Everything Glorious (key C) – David Crowder
- You are Good (key C) – Israel Houghton
- Black and Blue is My Heart (key G) – Rich Kirkpatrick
- Majesty (key C)
How was your worship weekend?
