Worship Set Design: picture of that stage, finally

Sunridgestage_oct_07Some of you have asked about what our stage design looked like at Sunridge. So, here is the photo.  Just a reminder that this was my first week in the office trying to figure out something that looked nice and that I am still a novice at being hands on with this stuff.

You will notice that the center panel is more saturated.  That is because it is Styrofoam.  The canvass fabric on the outside panels do not soak up light as well, but were a last minute fix due to the "production malfunction" I mentioned on Sunday’s post.  We will make three panels this same this week.

There is dark blue wash with magenta and purple back lighting.  My favorite part is how the toms on the drum set glow purple.  You like or what?

  1. I likey.
I need to talk to you about what you’re doing. I’ll admit it’s my weakest area…set design that is…we’re all about lights.

On another note – I need to talk to you about drums. We’re looking at eliminating the electronic roland set and going with a real set. The headache of mixing that is pretty intimidating to me.

  9. I love the nice words…of course those who hate it are where?
Anyway, Peter, we do not have too fancy of gear for this, by the way. Just par cans and ellipsoidals with gels in them. But, at least we have that. I would love to have at least a couple of those real fancy technobeam type lights or color pros…sigh.
