My daughter Emile has been saving money for a year in order to buy herself an electric guitar. She loves the edge, so an Epiphone SG 400 was her pick after trying Teles, Strats and other brands. At age 13 she has an amazing voice, loves to lead worship and is passionate about the guitar. So, this purchase is another milestone in her growing up as a musician. We entered Guitar Center in Murrieta with Emilie’s earned wad of cash and right away found Brandon. (Hey Brandon, tell your wife I am sorry for making her coffee cold by holding you up at Starbucks the other day.) Brandon, or “Bam Bam” as they call him at GC, set us up and we walked out of there with a shiny new instrument. Actually, it was not the exact one Emilie wanted. But, will do until they get in the antique cherry vintage thing.
Emilie I am so proud of you and can’t wait to hear you grow into an amazing musician and godly woman. (Well, I can wait, if you know what I mean.) When is the last time you saved for something like this? My only fear is that now there are two musicians who are addicted to gear under the same roof! Luckily babysitting pays well.
