I took a little walk this morning. The glass-topped Sundial Bridge in Redding crosses over the Sacramento River. You can find people of all ages, walking, running, biking–some in groups and some alone. I was alone. What strikes me about things of beauty, such as this bridge and the scenery around it, is that one look is not enough. There has not been one time I have not seen cameras here. I have seen a magazine ad shoot, a wedding, friends strolling and then people like me taking pictures with their cell phones. You cannot take a single look. Somehow, I forget how amazing it is to simply gaze at my Savior. One look can be seared into my memory and inspire me for years. The sad thing is that I look all around and ignore the beauty of my Lord just like in the busyness of life I ignore the beauty of this bridge when all it takes is a simple walk. Have any good "walks" lately?
