Blogging and stuff….

Why do I blog?  Just in case you are wondering, remember the cup of coffee I am drinking is now famous.  Yaks Coffee shop was written-up in the NY Times as a cool place, which it is.  The coffee is good, too.

Anyway, back to the topic:

  • I desire to connect with people that have similar interests and dreams
  • I desire to influence thought about church, leadership and culture.
  • I desire to keep and expand the network of people who influence me.
  • I love journaling and am tickled that anyone would even read what I write.
  • I love the dialog and learn from it!  (Thanks for the almost 500 comments!)
  • It is more meaningful than MySpace and not just about me, but about ideas.

Why do you blog?  Or, why not?

  1. I love blogging because of all the reasons you mentioned, and one more….IT’S FREE!FREE! It’s like when I go to the library with my kids. They run amuck finding all kind of literature they love. I calmly stroll the isles with my box. The run back and forth to the box with their treasures as I quietly ask, “All done kids?”.
I stroll up to the desk like a high roller in Vegas, pull out book after book, as the kids fight over which one they will carry to the car. I smile and say, “Have a good day”. 25 books and all free.
Blogging is like that. I stroll up to the computer and a whole world of new ideas and fresh “faces” appear on the screen day after day for FREE! Simply lovely.
