I have not been to the San Diego Zoo since I had a four-year-old and a newborn.  Our mini-van was brand-spankin’ new.  I had less gray hair and mileage, myself.  This time around we went full freight with the bus tour, skyway cable ride and miles of walking.  It was great.  I love the zoo!  With little kids, it is just gawking.  With an eight-year-old and 12-going-on-sixteen a treat.  They actually read the signs for me since their eyes were quicker and better than mine.

We went around the block to our house, took some naps.  Nice.  To top the day off we saw the movie Monster House and loved it.  A late night pretzel and coffee and we hit the sack.  Another day.  The San Diego Zoo is indeed the best zoo I have ever been to and great for kids, of course.  I would go again.
