5 Worship Services! 3 Styles! 2 Sites

Neighborhood Church of Redding, my church, will be launching a 5th service which means we will have three styles of worship and in two locations.  Also, we will be entering into our first video venue.  February 5 will be a historical day for us.  I am very excited about how we are going to be set up to reach a whole new crowd and generation of people.  We have little space, but about 1400 people (adults in worship services only) were here last weekend and we have not even launched this new service yet.

When I arrived at the church almost three years ago, Neighborhood Church was flying in from another city an interim worship leader for two years.  There was about one worship team.  Now, I am excited to say we have 6 worship leaders (including myself) and five worship bands.  Our media teams have expanded as well.  God has blessed us and I happy to have a piece of the action.

Here is what our weekend sort of looks like:Celebration

Fun, energetic and inspiring modern worship music
Saturday 5:30 PM, Sunday 9:00 & 10:45 AM

Classic

If you want more information on what we do in worship, click our church’s worship description page here.

Any of you guys doing multiple sites, video venues or differing styles like this?  Let me know!  I would love to chat.  (My IM addresses are on the LH sidebar).

  1. OK Los, here is the scoop. I lead 3 of the services with a guy who fills in about 10x a year. So, I do the “CELEBRATION” on Sat, and 2 on Sunday. There are 4 other worship leaders right now involved in leading “CLASSIC” and “THE WELL” which is the new one.
We also have a role “WORSHIP PRODUCER”–this person (I am also one of these) pulls the details and worship plan together.

I lead a department here, but am the only FT “musician” on staff. Everyone else is volunteer, stipended, or PT. I also lead communications and a staff team. http://www.ncredding.com/staff.htm shows how our staff is broken down.

    Blessings!
