Blueberries are us: a photo-devotional

Blueberries are perfect right now and I had to buy a box of them the other day. When we think of stereo-typing and bias in a culture that fuels division, it takes a closer look to see how something as monochromatic as blueberries display shades of blue to indigo. For a moment, we see something organically beautiful, not mechanically-labeled. God’s beauty aims not to conform us to wear the same earthly uniform, but to bring His heavenly character to the uniquely varied containers He designed us as. Being godly then is not being a clone. It’s not being alone. It’s being as God intended. His own.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10 ESV)
