Worship Recap & Setlist: July 20

RECAP: Today we had a guest speaker–Rob Klein from Emmanuel Faith Church in Escondido.  Our services really seemed to engage and our people seemed strong in numbers for a typical summer.  We did “I Will Boast” again, explaining how we are all made to worship.  That fact shows up in how we respond to our favorite sports team.  So, why not give that kind of devotion and expression to our God?  The second service seemed to get that a bit better but it was amazing to see God’s people “get with it” today!

SET LIST: Our songs today were about our reason for worship and what we really do when we worship.

  • I Am Free – Jon Egan
  • I Will Boast – Paul Baloche
  • Cry Out Your Name – Jeff Moore
  • Be The Centre – Michael Frye
  • You Are – Mark Roach

How was your worship weekend?  How did you see God show up?

  1. It was a great Sunday. My first Sunday off in 2 months.
Question for you…we’re doing “I am Free” next week…..do you like that song?

  5. Tyler… love the song. We do it with a Cold Play piano intro thing, and it seems to work if a lot of energy is put into it. Gotta commit if you do this song.

  9. I really believe the services are starting to really come together. There are plenty of things to twik, but for now I just think we’re getting better.

  17. Rich,
Worship rocked this weekend. There were moments I felt as if I was actually at the foot of the throne. Thank you. Hugs~

  21. It was a pretty good weekend, though I’m finding that we’re getting into a routine. It was interesting – one of our worship leaders thought it was the best worship experience since I’d been there, I & the other pastors did not feel the same way. All in all, for the average attender it was a good weekend.

  25. Worship rocked this morning. You guys amaze me at how good volunteers can be. And it’s all the more fun when a microphone gets smashed by the drummer (last week) or the guitarist snaps a string (this week). It’s overdue for our pianist (ie, Rich) or our bassist to break a string. I don’t care what you guys break, as long as you are worshipping and you don’t get about calling yourselves The Who.
