New look and feel to the RKWL…you like?

I have redesigned the look and feel of RKWL a bit.  Earlier this week I tried to streamline the sidebar stuff, now the next step was adding some new art.  I think it captures the feeling of fun and creativity.

What do you, my dear readers think?  And yes, you RSS peeps should click this once to chime in.

  1. not that I’m an expert (see my site 😉 but I feel that for your logo/icon to work it should parallel the title in some way ie capitalise/embolden the R K W & L”Rich Kirkpatrick WebLog”
I think it would help with the association of the icon in your bookmarks/browserbar with the site. – it might also benefit to invert the weblog part in some way for the same reason (maybe by using hollow outline type characters?). This is especially true for those who are newer to self publishing and think the word “blog” and don’t know where it’s derived from. I know that when I started coming it took me 2 or three visits before I figured out what the logo/icon meant.
Otherwise I would definitely say this is a more happy-go-lucky design implying lightheartedness than your previous one.

  13. Very nice. The handwritten vibe has a fun feel to it. Plus I like how it ties into all the “staff meeting doodle” posts.
