Transformers movie is a fun ride

Transformer

I took my son and wife to see Transformers and it was such a fun ride.  My son Ethan, who is 9, was at the edge of his seat for the entire 144 minutes!  And, the boy in me was satisfied with heroic plot lines and explosions and fights and car chases.

Any of you see this yet?

  1. I saw it! I wouldn’t take my wife to it, and I thought the story was childish, but then again…I appreciated the childness of it.
Overall: Awesome. Explosions and fighting huge autobots, what could a guy not like about it?

  5. I saw it last Thursday with 6 kids and my hubby. They all loved it! I wasn’t too impressed but did enjoy the later half once all the fighting started. 🙂

  9. Saw it late night premiere with a bunch of my youth kids and we loved every minute of it. They made me feel old since they didn’t grow up on it like I had but by the end of the night we all were like “TRANSFORMERS WOOHOO!!”
My only gripe was that MuteMath’s cover of the theme song was no where to be found…or heard…

  13. I went last weekend with a few of the guys in my small group — guys day out, which is important when there are babies at home.
I found the movie itself very entertaining, though I thought it was equal parts entertaining movie and car / toy advertisement. The way General Motors positioned themselves in that movie is one of the best business moves they’ve made in a long time, IMO. All the stuff with the new Camero and the girl? Every 16 year old boy in America is going to want that car.

But we had a lot of fun. As we watched, there were quite a few “Awesome!” exclaimations from our row.

  17. Appropriately Cheesy in all the right places, a little bit of fun “adult” humour and just plain great movie. I loved it, my girlfriend loved it. Can’t wait for the Special Edition DVD
