DAY 2 of re:create 2006

Img_0311_1What a great morning here in Franklin.  Stuart Townend, a favorite songwriter and worship leader of mine, led us this morning in worship and shared a new story song about Good Friday.  My church will be singing it soon–as soon as I can get ahold of a copy!

Narnia!  These Narnia guys are amazing.  Rick Dempsey, Ned Lott (both from Disney) and Mark Joseph (Walden Media) led three sessions today. Yes, there are Christians in Hollywood and they are making a difference.  See about the making of the film and books and the next film they are working on narnia.com.

We had a great lunch provided by EMI Christian Publishing at the Safire (see pictures).  These are the www.worshiptogether.com guys who put out music from people like Chris Tomlin, David Crowder and Matt Redman.  Then we enjoyed seeing clips from the Narnia DVD special features.

Img_0313_1 Part of the evening was spent at Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood, TNPocket Full of Rocks played a set of worship with us that moved and refreshed me.  These guys are a pretty good band, by the way.

The end of our day brought us to Jane’s home where we were served some great food and desserts.  What a beautiful home and gracious hostess Jane was to us.  The highlight was singing the Doxology in her foyer after praying for our Narnia-film-making heroes.
