Chris Tomlin's latest "Burning Lights" releases on January 8. It proves to sizzle in production, songwriting, and satisfies with seasoned delivery you expect from Tomlin and crew. Every track is well done. I am pleased at how musical the project feels for a worship CD that happens to be singable. So, you will enjoy this in your car as well as house of worship. There are familiar tunes like "White Flag" and a hymn "Crown Him [Majesty]" that round out new offerings like "Countless Wonders" and "Thank You God" which features Phil Wickham. Much of this project is tastefully assessable musically for worship leaders and congregations–especially if you lower the keys on a few of the songs. One thing I laud is the piano tracking that some of us piano-leads can employ live. (Please, loops are nice worship leader guys, but really? These piano parts are easy enough for a person sitting in your church right now!).
